The Years End - That's a Wrap 2025

 Through the Lens of 2025

Krystal after completing the 1000 yard shoot.

Now that the year is coming to a wrap, there is no better time than to go through each month with some of my favorite images taken! This year was filled with wonder and self-discovery but also so many trials to strengthen myself and my family.

January

Oh, January. For me this month is always about the birds. In 2025 we worked to make our property a certified wildlife habitat and come January - it shows!

February

Late winter in Tennessee is a fascinating time! The first signs of life begin later in the month and the moss and fungus are in full color.

March

Oh March. It's one of my favorite times of year. The days are longer, the sun is warmer, but the trees are still bare enough to see into the forest.

April

April is a special month in our family and spring goes into full swing! Some of our migratory friends come back to visit.

May

May was a lot of fun. Our Magnolia, Maggie, goes into full bloom with the beautiful white flowers. I also made a new friend, Dolores the Raccoon.

June

This past June my daughter and I had the opportunity to visit some of our best friends near the Ozark National Scenic Riverway. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and we're already planning a camping trip back.

July

July was a very warm, but fun month! A cat that followed my daughter home had kittens in June and come July they were a ton of fun!

August

August was the month that our homestead came to fruition! We had our first grape from the vine and our pond exploded with frogs!

September

September was filled with adventure and looking for new animal friends! I started my Tennessee Naturalist class at Paris Landing too!

October

October is always a fun month in our family. The fall colors, birthday celebrations, and, of course, my favorite holiday, Halloween! This year was filled with another celebration, the wedding of my younger brother! We traveled to Hot Springs, Arkansas and was able to explore the national park before the celebrations!

November

The fall months are always busy! This November we traveled out East some to do a 1000 yard shoot with one of our rifles. It was so much fun but I think the best part was exploring the local waterfalls! We also had the aurora borealis visit Tennessee and put on a spectacular show!

December

December is always quiet around our home. Its a chaos filled month with gifts, usually travel, and my birthday!

Overall 2025 was a year of professional growth and the launch of something new. It was a year that tested boundaries but from it I found myself even more. I can't wait to see what things come from Through the Krystal Lens in 2026!

See you next year!
